Interesting Week!

I have no clue whether I am on track or not with my list of challenges.

I was in so much pain that I can't remember if I did or did not do the challenges I have for this year. It is not the end of the world because there were a few moments of blessings in the midst of the pain.

One day one of my devotionals had this prayer attached, "Lord, help us to have an unshakable faith in you and in the promises you have made no matter the challenges you allow us to face." This was just what I needed.

Last night, Sunday, January 22, 2012 we had the absolute best ministerial ordination service I have ever attended of a man who is so much a man of God.

Through out the day yesterday I began to think back over the people who have made a spiritual impact on my life. I decided to write a chapter in my book about these people.

Today begins another week and I do not know what lies ahead for me. I have not heard from the MRI that I had on Thursday of last week. The pain is still there, but I know who is in control!

One more thing, one of my wonderful grandsons is living with me temporarily. He recognizes the pain I am in and he volunteers to do things for me without me asking. He has forbidden me to lift, stoop, bend over or anything else I shouldn't do.

I have an amazing family!

Challenges for 2012 Update 2

#1 I am making great progress
#2 I am making progress
#3 Completed another week
#4 -8 I am steadily working on them

As for my scrapbooking Pixels2Pages threw out a Challenge Friday, January 6-15 different assignments every few hours. Well I got behind with my challenges but I have spent today catching up. At the moment I am caught up.

As for my week in general it was a bit tougher than usual...I had Ellie more this week than I usually do, but that would not have been a problem if I had not injured my back on Tuesday, which has made every thing difficult, plus I had Forever Young this week which is a once a month delightful event, it was just another event this week. It has been a hard week, but God has provided.

I decided that Ellie needed to learn how to climb. She loves to sit on the couch, but some times that is a game pick her up and put her on the couch only for her to roll over and slide back off. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to pull out the little stool that my dad made before I was born (at least before I need to climb). I taught Ellie in one quick lesson how to climb up on the couch as many times as she wanted to and slide off as many times as she wanted to. My back said thank you.

Next week will be another busy week, but not as busy as this week has been.

Challenges for 2012 Update

I am on track.

Most of my Challenges are ongoing for the year and I have worked on all of them this week.

The only Challenge that could be completed, in one sense of the word, is the Day2Day project. I did take a photo every day and I did complete a scrapbook page for the first week in January using these photos. I will not include a page every week in this blog but I will attach this page to show what my first week looks like. You can see my pages and pages from other scrapbookers on http://www.facebook.com/pixels2Pages.

I did take the first picture and create the first page in the family heirlooms scrapbook. The title of the scrapbook is "Treasures of my Childhood". The first treasure that I photographed and scrapbooked was the little blue bell. I will not include every page in this blog but I will attach this page to show what my goals for the book include.

I am heavy into #6 Clean out file cabinets and storage boxes. Necessity. I need the space.

Keep checking to see if I am on track.
